Douglas Kerr

Producer/ Director Douglas Kerr is a household name.
You see, it started early on his life, this constant, fiending, nagging need to create. He had, what some would call, an explosive imagination. This was finally applied the first time he held a video camera.

Douglas Kerr, since has been an avid filmmaker and storyteller and has carried his passion forward, creating a unique voice and outlook for himself and gaining recognition as an aspiring talent worth watching.
While completing his three year advanced film diploma at Capilano University, Douglas excelled in his classes, earning a Dean’s List distinction throughout the majority of his studies. During his time he produced several shorts including Home and Molina and the VSFF Best Picture nominated Lost and Found. Doug also directed the Leo Award nominated Three AM in 2007.

After a successful completion of the MPPIA BCFILM funded short, The Light of Family Burnam and the incorporation of his company Awkward Moment Productions, Douglas has continued to move forward with his filmmaking career. He has successfully produced a VideoFACT/ Much Music awarded music video for the Canadian artist Christer. Also in the music video format, Doug directed and edited a video for Canadian artist Fallan Soldier.

He continued to build his producing repertoire by assisting in the production of the short film False Creek Stories and the Three Inches of Blood Music Video, Battles and Brotherhood.
His current development slate includes several short films, music videos, feature films and documentary mini series.
